The Spring Make-up Routine

Hi guys! Today I am sharing my Spring Make-up Routine! It’s a warm, natural, glowy make-up look, that starts with sunscreen and is very easy to achieve! If you would like to know what my current faves and picks are and how to create this spring-look then keep on reading!
Before I jump into the make-up I just want to say I love that more and more make-up brands form the States, the UK, Australia and other countries are becoming available in the Netherlands. It’s so annoying if you are a YouTube lover, like me, and the products your favorite guru’s are talking about are not available where you live. Or worse, you have to pay a lot extra, for shipping fees and taxes. I’m grateful for all the webshops and smaller make-up shops that are making it possible for Dutchies to get brands like Milani, Morphe Brushes, LA girl, Sigma and The Balm. One of these shops is Boozyshop. Most of the products I’m using for this look are available at Boozyshop and are super affordable!

1. Skincare

So even though I have completely gotten into drugstore make-up ever since I challenged myself to bring only drugstore make-up to Curacao, my skincare routine is still pretty high end. I’ll quickly run you through what I used before I put on my make-up: a toner from Nuxe, my face cream from Bobbi Brown, an Eye cream from Origins, my Talika brow gel, a little bit of coconut oil on my lips, the POREfessional from Benefit and last but not least: sunscreen. The most important part of your skincare- and make-up routine if you ask me. I love the Clarins SPF 50 sunscreen for face.

2. Eyes

I started off with my eyes, using the Morphe Taupe pallet. It’s currently sold out at Boozyshop, because these pallets are amazing. You get so many shades, so much pigment, such great quality for a very affordable price. So definitely keep an eye out and get your hands on one of these pallets! I used the Real Techniques Starter Set for Eyes to create a warm eye look. This is a perfect and very complete set that will help you create any eye look!

3. Foundation and concealer

For foundation I used my Sigma round kabuki F82 brush to apply my trusted Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder foundation. This is such a great foundation brush! And because I am a tired mama I took my Beautyblender and applied some Bobbi Brown tinted eye brightener. I don’t know how anyone does their make-up without a beautyblender. It is a must have.

4. Setting Powder

[easy-image-collage id=13828]

To set my base I used the HD Pro Face Pressed Powder from LA girl, which is a nice, soft (cheap!) powder. I’m in the shade Nude Beige, but Boozyshop has a great variety of shade for different skin tones. I always use my powder brush from Real Techniques to set my face.

5. Bronzer

To warm up my face I used the Blush brush from Real Techniques and applied my Betty Lou Manizer from The Balm in the hollows of my cheeks and around my forehead. I can honestly recommend all the Real Techniques brushes. The Miracle Complexion Sponges are amazing as well and a great more affordable alternative to the Beautyblender. Also an absolute must have is their Brush Cleansing Palette: I raved about this in my brush cleaning routine.

6. Blush

Boozyshops’ Milani collection is mouthwatering. Today I used the Milani Baked Blush, in the shade Luminoso. The little brush that comes with it is actually amazing! I always throw out the brushes that come with make-up products, but this one is coming with me to Curacao! I’m also bringing one of their highlighters: I’ve been using the Strobelight Instant Glow Powder in the shade Sunglow. And I would love to try Milani’s matte liquid lipsticks and lipsticks next!

7. Highlighter

[easy-image-collage id=13832]

The best highlighter ever is the Mary Lou Manizer Highliger from The Balm. You need this product in your make-up collection! And while you are at it: this Morphe M510 brush is the best highlighter brush you will ever use, I promise.

8. Brows, Lashes, Lips

[easy-image-collage id=13833]

Remember how strongly I disliked this Sleek Clear Brow Perfecter when I first used it? I am stubborn and I was set on taking it to Curacao, so I kept using it. And I found a way to make it work! I only recently started using Make-up Revolution. As you can see this was my first time using their brow powders. The shades are a good match for my brows and this kit is a great dupe for my Clarins Brow Kit. I also got the Golden Sugar Rose Gold Palette from Make-up Revolution. And o my gosh, it is soooo stunning! I need to do a separate post on that one.
