I love granola for breakfast. With some soy yogurt, fruit and chia seeds… yum! You can create a delicious & healthy (and super Instagrammable) breakfast in no time with granola. But it tastes even better and it is even healthier if you make it yourself. Homemade granola is soooo much tastier than anything you buy packaged. And it is very easy to make. It takes about 15 minutes if you follow these 8 simple steps!
How to Make Homemade Granola
Step 1: Assemble your ingredients. Here is what you need as base ingredients:
- Oatmeal
- Chia Seeds
- Mixed nuts (cut up)
- Sesame Seeds
- Pumpkin Seeds
- Sunflower Seeds
Step 2: Put everything on a baking tray. Decide the measurements for yourself, just make sure the oats are the main ingredient.
Step 3: Ad the sweetness. Here is what you can use:
- Date syrup
- Agave syrup
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- (Sugar)
- If you like coconut oil, add that as well (I don’t like it)
Step 4: Mix everything together with your hands and put it in the oven for about 10 minutes. Check and stir after five minutes.

Step 5: When you homemade granola is done, take it out of the oven and put it on a plate to cool off.
Step 6: Decide what you want to add to your granola. Here is some inspiration:

- Raisins
- (Goij) Berries
- Any superfood you enjoy
Step 7: Mix everything together, with plant based milk or plant based yoghurt. For instance, you can use soy-, almond-, rice-, oat- or flaxseed milk.
Step 8: Sit back & enjoy your delicious, healthy breakfast. This treat will keep you full the entire morning!
