You know I love making our own vegan burgers and veggie balls. These vegan black bean burgers with mushrooms are super delicious & healthy and very easy to make. Perfect for lunch or dinner and a great, plant based alternative for meat or dairy based burgers.
What you need to make six vegan black bean burgers
- A can of black beans
- 7 mushrooms
- 2 spring onions
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
- salt & pepper
- parsley
- bread crumbs
How to make them
- Put the beans in a strainer and clean them with water
- Cut up the mushrooms, the spring onions and the garlic
- Fry the mushrooms, spring onions and garlic in a pan with some olive oil
- Mash the black beans with a potato masher
- Add some fresh parsley and salt & pepper
- When the other veggies are done, add them to the mix and stir with a spoon
- Add the sesame seeds and the bread crumbs and knead the mixture till its even and has a nice consistency
- Make even portion and turn them into burgers
- Fry for five minutes on each side, with some olive oil
How to eat them
You can either eat these burges on a sandwich, which some salad, or have them as a substitute for meat or dairy based veggie burgers, with your diner. They go very well with rice, chili sauce and corn on a cop. Also delicious: put some hummus or olive tapenade on a slice of bread and put the burgers on top.
