Whenever someone tells me they are visiting a new born and they need to find a gift I start yelling they NEED TO BUY BURT’S BEES. I don’t use a lot of products on Isaya, but two things I have been using non stop for the past eighteen months are from Burt’s Bees. If you are looking for a gift or for products for your own baby, then keep on reading, because today I am sharing my favorite Burt’s Bees products for my baby and me.
I will dive into my favorite Burt’s Bees products in a minute. But first I want to tell you a little bit about the brand. Because part of my devotion to these products comes from my love for Burt’s Bees as a brand. Using almost exclusively natural ingredients, they are a bunch of ‘tree-hugging, do-gooders’ (their proud words), who do yoga during lunch and set sustainability goals. They use as much recycled material for their packages as possible and send zero waste to landfill. Burt’s Bees has a beautiful and growing range of face, hand, foot body and lip products. They also have a very lovely line of lip crayons and lip lipglosses. And they have some amazing baby products!
I have been using Burt’s Bees on Isaya from the day she was born. I have tried a couple of their products and I liked them all. But two I swear by. I use them on a daily basis and never feel the need to buy alternatives. My all time favorites from Baby Bee are the Shampoo and Wash and the Multi-Purpose Ointment.
Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Shampoo and Wash
[easy-image-collage id=13382]I use this on Isaya’s hair and for her bath. It’s very soft on her skin, never leaves it dry or irritated and it doesn’t sting her eyes. The Shampoo and Wash is plant-based and has the most delicious smell. A little goes a long way. We go through three or four bottles a year and I also use it to clean my brushes.
Burt’s Bees Baby Bee Multi-Purpose Ointment
I use this as a diaper cream. I tried the Baby Bee Diaper Ointment, but I liked the multi-purpose better. Isaya never had diaper rash until she went to daycare. The Multi-Purpose Ointment helps her recover from a mild rash within a week. It leaves a barrier against dryness and it is petroleum free. You can also use it on your baby’s face and body (although I would advise you to use separate containers for body and bum). It’s 100% natural and one jar lasts us a whole year. This ointment is also great for removing eye make-up.
Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes
[easy-image-collage id=13383]As you know from my evening skincare routine I like to use make-up wipes as an extra step between my lotion and face wash when removing my make-up. Recently I discovered the Facial Cleansing Towelettes with White Tea Extract from Burt’s Bees. They also have ‘sensitive’ ones with Cotton Extract, but with 99% natural ingredients the regular wipes are perfect for my sensitive skin. I find they are very soft and thick, they remove (eye!) make-up very easily, smell delicious and I don’t have to worry about putting irritating or damaging ingredients.
There are still many more products I would love to try out and because Burt’s Bees has beautiful gift sets so I will definitely be spreading a little but of Bee Love this year.
