Iconic Makeup Brands in The Netherlands
The Dutch often have to wait a long time for new brands to release their products in the Netherlands. But in the last three years, there have been some truly amazing releases, that have revolutionized every makeup lover’s makeup stash and were definitely worth the wait. I’m not talking about the mainstream brands, such as YSL, Channel, Dior, Lancome and Clinique – which you can find everywhere in the world. Over the past few years the Dutch beauty market has been graced with the arrival of iconic brands such as Urban Decay, Too Faced, NYX cosmetics, Huda Beauty and many more. They have given makeup lovers a wide variety of choices, according to their needs and budget.
Douglas
Douglas Nederland has brought some the coolest brands in store and also online. It started with Douglas selling MAC, Smashbox (famous for their primers and contour palettes) and ZOEVA (best makeup brushes and amazing eyeshadow palettes!). And then, last year they released BECCA – a brand famous for their outstanding highlighters and primers. And one of their most anticipated releases of all time: Too Faced Cosmetics. This brand is incredibly populair for the Chocolate Bar Palette, Sweet Peach Palette and Better than Sex Mascara.

De Bijenkorf
In the luxury and high-end department, De Bijenkorf, last year launched NARS cosmetics, for everyone who is looking for their famous Orgasm blush and NARS Sheer Glow Foundation. The Dutch warehouse also houses Charlotte Tilbury, the brand of the makeup artist of A-list celebrities which is famous for the Magic Cream and Film Star Bronze Palette.

The Beauty Editor
Huda Beauty, from the beauty blogger Huda Kattan, is also one of the most anticipated makeup launches of last the year. Huda Beauty is available at The Beauty Editor in Amsterdam (Herengracht 447). The Beauty Editor also houses Stila Cosmetics, OUAI and Kevin Aucoin.
