This september will mark my second blogiversary. I published my first article on Columns by Kari on september 1th 2016. I love my bloglife. It’s not only my passion and hobby, it has also become my main source of income. It’s hard work, but is doesn’t (always) feel like it. I am lucky to be able to do what I love. I truly enjoy this world of blogging and social media. Some aspects of my work are not that “average” though. That #bloglife is full of eccentricities, which, if you are a blogger too, you will recognize instantly. I decided to write them down 🙂 You know you are are blogger if…
You Know You Are a Blogger if…
- You don’t take a bite of your meal or snack until you’ve taken a photo or boomerang
- You also don’t dig into new beauty products before taking some fancy productsnaps or making a flatlay
- You have an entire drawer full of pretty bits and bobs to create beautiful flatlays
- Your three year old starts creating flatlays and taking photo’s of toys and food
- You’ve felt the need to explain to your mailman that you are not a shopaholic with a serious problem, but a blogger and these daily deliveries are from companies you work with
- You have a better relationship with said mailman than with most of your neighbors
- You have at least 60.000 photo’s on your Iphone
- If someone were to scroll through your Photo’s they would see a thousand sets of 30 images of the same thing, because it never takes just one shot to get that perfect Insta
- You have at least 10 apps on your phone for editing pictures
- You see everything as a potential blogpost and have a list of articles you want to write on your phone or in your diary
- 90% of the time this is your office:
- You have #reallife friends and #Instafriends and you love them both dearly and sometimes the Instafriends become reallife friends and that’s just #goals
- If you need advice on parenting, beauty, fashion, netflix, dinner ideas or online purchases, you post a question or poll on Instastories before you do anything else
- Your better half has become your partner/photographer
- You have areas in your house that are photo-friendly (look organized and lovely) and areas that will never see the light of your Instaday (sometimes these areas are only 1 meter apart)
- You sometimes spent an hour putting on makeup just to take photo’s for a blogpost or Instagram photo and then take everything off again to go to the playground with your kid in your pyjama’s
- You get to give your partner, friends and family all kinds of goodies and gifts because you can’t possibly keep all the lovely products companies send and it is so much fun to share
- You feel super lucky to have such a fun job, where you can write about the things you love and feel passionate about, inspire others whilst doing so and meet all kinds of beautiful human beings both online and off
