A few years ago I fell in love with Charlotte Tilbury. I was looking for a new foundation and read the the Light Wonder Foundation was supposed to be everything. I brought it and never looked back. In the years that followed I expanded my Charlotte Tilbury collection and since the brand is cruelty free I decided to do a Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Routine. In this post I’ll be showing you the products I use, which ones I absolutely LOVE and which products you could definitely do without. And I have created a natural makeup routine, for every day wear!
For my Dutchies: Charlotte Tilbury is available at de Bijenkorf. All the products I have linked are direct product links to de Bijenkorf. Charlotte Tilbury is a cruelty free brand!
Primer – Wonder Glow
The Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow primer is definitely worth its name: it is miraculous. It gives you a wonderful glow, puts a blur filter on your imperfections and keeps your makeup in place all day. I was looking for a cruelty free alternative for the Dr. Brandt Pores no More Primer and this one is definitely worth it! The Wonderglow is also vegan friendly!
Foundation – Light Wonder
As I mentioned in the intro, the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation is perfect. There are a couple of foundations I absolutely adore, but this is my go to foundation, because it is light weight and the perfect shade. I am a very pale girl for a big part of the year and the Fair shade is a perfect match. This foundation is also vegan friendly!
Powder – Airbrush Flawless Finish
The Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder is just as amazing as the foundation and together they are the perfect match. A light powder, that doesn’t cake up your makeup or add a lot more coverage, but does make sure you don’t get oily and gives you an even more airbrushed look. This product is also vegan friendly!
Contour, Bronzer, Highlighter – Filmstar Bronze & Glow
The Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow is a very hyped up product and if you ask me, it doesn’t live up to it. This bronzer/ contour and highlighter duo just doesn’t do it for me, especially if you factor in it costs €65,-. The bronzer is fine: not the best one I have, but it works. The highlighter is too powdery. It doesn’t become part of your skin or makeup: it just sits there. It becomes better if you use a makeup setting spray on top. But for that price, it should be better. It is vegan friendly, so that is a plus.
Charlotte Tilbury Lipliners & Lipsticks
The Lip Cheat lipliners from Charlotte Tilbury are iconic and rightfully so. I have and love the Iconic Nude and the Pillow Talk: two stunning nude lipliners. They are creamy, but not too creamy (less creamy than the Kylie ones), they last a very long time and the colour range is beautiful. These lipliners are vegan friendly!
The Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks are also worth the hype. They are gorgeous! I have Penelope Pink (a more orange toned nude) and Kim Kardashian West (a lovely pale nude, also vegan friendly). I have featured, swatched and reviewed both these lipsticks in my Favorite High End Nude Lipsticks article. Definitely worth your money!
My Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Routine
[easy-image-collage id=18136]For this everyday, natural makeup look I started with the primer, after I moisturized my face. After letting that sink in I’ve applied my foundation the usual way. A little bit of powder to set my under eyes and t- zone. And then I went in with the bronzer (which I also use as a contour) and the highlighter. No blush today: I usually wear blush but don’t own a CT one, because I could’t find a shade I like. For my eyes I applied the bronzer in my crease and the highlight on my lids and brow bone. Brows and lashes are not Charlotte Tilbury, because I don’t think it’s worth the investment. On my lips I am wearing the Iconic Nude lipliner and Penelope Pink on top! Hope you enjoyed my Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Routine!
