It’s time to go through my February trash! I’ve got some great cruelty free empties and some products I loved but won’t be buying again because the companies test on animals. And don’t worry: I’ve tried to make my trash look pretty 🙂 If you want to know my recommendations for this month, then keep on reading!
Face
[easy-image-collage id=17644]I have two empty toners (face tonics): one from Louis Widmer and one from RAU cosmetics. Both are cruelty free and both are amazing! I highly recommend them and will definitely repurchase. Especially the one from RAU cosmetics smells so delicious – a true treat for your skin and the perfect transition between cleansing and moisturizer.
I also emptied out my L’oreal Pure Clay Exfoliating Face Mask. This is probably the best and most effective drugstore mask I have ever used. But. I won’t be repurchasing it, because L’oreal is not a cruelty free brand. So, even though I loved it, I won’t be recommending it.
Body
[easy-image-collage id=17645]I love TreacleMoon. It’s such a lovely drugstore brand. The bottles are huge (and pretty), the products smell delicious and they don’t test on animals. Definitely recommend this hand- and bodylotion, as well as their other products and will most certainly repurchase over and over again.
Another amazing Louis Widmer product. This is a shower gel and it. is. heaven. Just delicious! It smells so good and it is very soft on the skin. I will definitely order this again. And again.
As I mentioned in my previous empties post, I have transitioned from chemical deodorants to natural, cruelty free ones. We have a huge stack of Dove sticks I had to finish and this is the very last one. So, no more Dove for me!
Teeth
I talked about the Neobio toothpastes in our Toddler & Mommy Cruelty Free Shower Routine. We’ve been using them for six months now and I am still very happy with the quality, price (around €2,-) and taste. Even though I am curious about other natural toothpastes and want to try some of them, I highly recommend Neobio and will probably go back to them in the future!
Makeup
It really is such a pity L’oreal is not a cruelty free brand. Because their products are so on point. I was going to do a full review on the L’oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara, because it is so good. But I decided against it, because even though it is super affordable, gives you long, full lashes and stays effective for six full months, I can’t recommend it. Because I just can’t stand behind L’oreal as a company.
