There is something about washing your face that can make you feel so much better. In the morning, to feel more awake and energized, so you feel ready for a new day. Or in the evening, to wash away all the make-up, day-dirt and anything else you want to leave behind, after a long day. You need to take care of your skin – of your entire body – but your face probably needs your attention, care and love most. It’s not only the first thing people see (and what you see, when you look in the mirror), it’s also such sensitive skin. Using natural skincare is not just a great idea: if you ask me, it’s a necessity. That’s why I am sharing 5 amazing all natural face cleaners!
1. Weleda Gentle Cleansing Foam
Weleda is one of my all time favorite natural cosmetics brands. When they reached out, a little over two months ago, to become a brand ambassador I needed exactly 0.01 seconds to think about it. I can get behind everything they do and make. The ingredients are all natural, the products are effective and smell amazing and the responsibility they feel and keep towards the environment is inspiring. The Gentle Cleansing Foam is one of their new products (it released earlier this year, check out my Dutch review here). I needed a little time to get used to the smell, but it has grown on me: I love it now. The formula was a win for me from the start. Very gentle but effective. This is the perfect everyday face cleanser. It’s easy and fuss-free to use and, as it’s Weleda, it’s very affordable.
2. {SIMPLE as that} Cleanser
You may recognize this {SIMPLE as that} cleanser from previous skincare posts. I reviewed products from this Australian brand a couple of times. Because it is Amazing. They carry very high values when it comes to the environment. Their ingredients are vegan, fair trade and organic and they use minimal ingredients. I love that: just 4 ingredients and yet, so effective. I would urge you to check the ingredient list of your skincare products. If that list is extremely long and incomprehensible I urge you to make some changes. I love this cleanser for a quick evening cleanse, when I am very tired and don’t want any fuss. Or a quick morning cleanse, when I am running late. I just put a bit on a cotton pad, clean my skin and then splash water on my face.
3. Marina Miracle Oil Cleanser
I discovered Marina Miracle six months ago, when it became available in the Netherlands. I fell in love instantly. This 100% natural skincare brand from Norway is cruelty free, vegan and very suitable for people with atopic eczema. My absolute favorite product from this brand is the Herbal Face Oil (you neeeeeed that in your life!). But this oil cleaner is also a gorgeous product. When I use this my brain takes a trip to Curacao: I am on the beach, holding a cocktail, enjoying the warmth of the sun. Marina Miracle knows how to draw you into the moment and experience an at-home-spa-moment through your senses.

4. Khan El Saboun Acne Soap
I talked about this peculiar looking soap in my “Tips for Clear Skin” blogpost. Let’s get over the fact that it looks weird and talk about how amazing it is. This natural soap is specifically created for people with acne prone skin. You will find ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil, almond oil, sulfur, wheat bran and honey on the list. It smells “smoked”, which is something that may take time getting used to. But I have been using this soap for over two months [yes, one piece goes a long way!] and I have actually grown quite fond of the way it smells. This soap cleans thoroughly and is perfect if you’re struggling with breakouts, but doesn’t dry out your skin.
5. Eco by Sonya Lemongrass Cleansing Foam
I love Eco by Sonya. It is easily one of my favorite brands for face and body care. Their tanning products are the bomb, I am obsessed with their scrubs, face masks, body lotions and… this cleansing foam. It is so gentle you can use it for your body, hands and face. It’s even suitable for babies! The smell is lovely and fresh and because you can use it all over and on the whole family it is perfect for trips. This lemongrass cleansing foam is organic, natural, vegan and cruelty free. What more can you ask for? Right, effectiveness. Definitely: it eaves your skin feeling clean and hydrated.
