A new Empties post! My 10th, since I started saving my beauty trash a year ago. I feature 8-10 beauty products each post, so that means I have used up at least 100 beauty products over the past year. Whoops. I really don’t want to know how much money that is. But hopefully these posts help you save some, by buying products that work and not wasting your cash on the beauty-fails.
Beauty products I will not repurchase / don’t recommend
Some of these products I really loved, but won’t be repurchasing because they are not cruelty free. And some of these products just don’t work (well enough) or are full of sh*t.
Starting with the L’Oreal Sublime Bronze. It is one of those products that works really well. I still stand by my review I did before I went cruelty free. But I just moved on to a natural tanning brand that does not test on animals. You can check out my review on the tanning products by Eco by Sonya here.
The Catrice Eye’Matic Eyepowder Pen is an epic fail. It doesn’t work. At all. So even though Catrice is a cruelty free brand that I usually love a lot, this was a miss. I have many other Catrice recommends but this pencil is not one of them.
Ocean Potion always reminds me of Curacao. It has that Tropical smell that instantly brings me back to the beach, the sand, the sun, the cocktails. And even though Ocean Potion is cruelty free, their products contain chemical filters and therefore are not too kind for your skin and the environment. I have moved on to non-nano sunscreen from Alhphanova and Weleda.
I did an extensive review on the Mario Badescu Facial Spray. And even though it’s cruelty free I won’t be repurchasing Mario Badescu. It just doesn’t do it for me (not as hydrating as you’d expect) and I don’t trust the brand 100%.
Zwitsal is one of those brands you need to stay away from. I know it smells delicious. But it is full of chemicals and it’s not cruelty free. I can’t think of a reason why you would want to put it on your baby. [I got this bottle in a babybox and used it on myself] There are so many beautiful brands that make natural babyproducts. Zwitsal needs to do some serious catching up with time.
Beauty products I will repurchase/ do recommend
I fell in love with Salt of the Earth! They have gorgeous natural deodorants. This pink one is probably my favorite. I can highly recommend it! Smells amazing.

I have yet to find a RAU Cosmetics products I don’t like. Everything is so hydrating, it works amazingly well, it’s natural and they have a huge rangee of products for all skin types and needs. You deserv a little bit of RAU Cosmetics in your life. I already expressed my love for their toner in a previous Empties post. And this White Tea Cream is just as luxurious and lovely.

Weleda is one of my favorite brands. It’s never a miss, it always smells lovely and they have a huge range of products.I have tried and loved so many of their products and this Calendula face cream for baby’s and kids is just one of my Weleda recommendations.
It is not easy to find a cruelty free perfume. I did quite a bit of research on the subject and finally decided on the Rituals perfumes. I have tried two of the mini bottles (the pink and the gold) and loved them both. I will definitely repurchase! And this time the bigger bottles!
Cien is the Lidl cosmetics brand. I bought a couple of Cien products a few months ago, to see if it is a good, natural but affordable, alternative. So far, I think it is nice. I don’t necessarily recommend this shaving cream, but the Cien Nature products are Natrue certified, are silicon and paraben-free, don’t contain colorants and preservatives and are cruelty free. Perfect if you want natural on a budget.
